GID4

The glucose-induced degradation protein 4 homologue (GID4), a substrate recognition component of the C-terminal to LisH (CTLH) E3 ligase complex. GID4 serves as the substrate receptor. It can recognize N-terminal proline degradation signal (Pro/N degron) as well as specific hydrophobic residues, guiding the substrate proteins to the 26S proteasome for degradation[1].
